Trimming with ripple edits

This video shows us how to trim a clip using ripple edits which would be useful in creating our music video and adding little details.

Working with photos and still graphics

This video is a clear tutorial on how you can use a video to create a still and then use it to make a hold graphic. We could apply this by making it as if the band has frozen in time for a few seconds.

Optical flow

Recently we have experimenting with optical flow and it is really effective in showing motion in a dramatic way. In FCPX it is also a simple process making a clip slower using optical flow. This tutorial has helped me understand how to edit a clip using final cut pro X to create optical flow.

Cloning using FCPX

A very simple and easy tutorial that I found helpful in creating such a powerful effect is a video found on YouTube by Bill Savage. The video is simple enough for a beginner like myself to understand and put into practice. The tutorial even shows how to trim and time the detail of the interaction between the individuals.

FCPX Basics

Due to my non-existent IT skills never mind MacBook skills I have been looking at the basics of FCPX. One set of videos that as been great help is the relaxing voice of Larry Jordan who makes sense of the hieroglyphic buttons surrounding our editing program. Larry simplifies and speeds up the basics of FCPX so that you can get on with more difficult sequences.
